    Totally Promotional Totally Promotional Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud Implementation ​ About the Client Totally Promotional is a veteran in the promotional products industry. Their Coldwater, Ohio-based production plant has been customizing promotional products for individuals, schools, companies, organizations, universities, and government agencies for more than 25 years. The Challenge Totally Promotional had been using Salesforce for many years; however, their instance and associated installed apps were out of date and they were not able to move to the Salesforce Lightning interface due to significant technical debt. They also wished to implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud to accurately segment and market to their target prospects and customers. Totally Promotional's online storefront was experiencing frequent shopping cart abandonment, as well as lacking in a proper email sign-up list, to capture customer information. The Management and Executive teams had very little visibility into their system and its performance and needed new reports and dashboards. The Solution Salesforce Marketing Cloud was connected to Sales Cloud, and fields were mapped from Accounts, Leads and Contacts based on the client’s specifications. Data extensions were created in Marketing Cloud to house prospects for the purposes of utilizing the Journey Builder to create comprehensive engagement plans to deliver the right message at the right time, moving prospects and clients through the sales funnel. A specific journey was created to combat shopping cart abandonment. Summit Technologies created 10 different reports and charts that allow the Totally Promotional Marketing staff to visualize their funnels by criteria such as gender, region, and product category. After careful analysis and planning, the Summit Technologies team remediated technical debt by updating API versions of APEX code, created and updated test classes, fixed hard coded record ID’s, addressed outdated URL hacks, uninstalled unused apps, deleted unused objects and fields, and performed other necessary actions to facilitate the move to Lightning. Work was done in a sandbox environment with extensive regression testing to minimize likelihood of a disruption to the business. Summit Technologies also provided training to Totally Promotional staff for the CRM solution, the data loading process and introduced the team to Market Cloud Email Studio and Journey Builder. Each year, CHN serves 30,000 low-income households through an array of housing related services geared toward improving housing stability. CHN has developed more than 5,000 homes throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area and is the nation’s largest single-family affordable housing developer through the use of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit. Since 1981, more than 2,500 low-income families have achieved home ownership. CHN is nationally known for its tax credit financed Lease Purchase Program, a 15-year pathway to home ownership for low-income families. The program has helped 1,000 families become homeowners, with 98% still in their homes since the first family took title in 2003. CHN’s structure includes 15 constituent CDCs, a multi-cultural staff of 170 and a community based Board of Directors. The Challenge CHN's over 150 employees needed access to internal resources and a way to open tickets for the IT department, but full Salesforce licenses were not needed or in the budget. The Solution A Salesforce Community with Knowledge was implemented as well as case management and an organization events calendar. Authenticated users from CHN can log into the secured community and view and download documents related to HR, benefits and organization processes using Salesforce Knowledge. Documents were organized using Topics. Employees may nominate their fellow employees for awards and view an internal calendar with birthdays, anniversaries and other important events. ​ Employees may also open cases on a variety of IT topics, which are then routed to the appropriate staff.     University of Cincinnati Online UC Online Recruiting Migrated UC Online recruiting from Hubspot to Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA), Interactions for Student Recruitment, and Marketing Cloud About the Client The Challenge University of Cincinnati Online wanted to transition their recruiting efforts from a mature, heavily-used Hubspot system to a more robust CRM and marketing automation solution, so they selected Salesforce EDA as their CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud as their marketing platform. To make things more challenging, UC’s Hubspot licenses were set to expire on February 1, 2020, giving the team less than 3 months to recreate hundreds of email templates and journeys, move millions of rows of data and train their team of 30+ recruiters on the new system. They selected Summit Technologies as their partner in the transition. ​ The Solution Knowing that making a seamless transition between platforms can be challenging, particularly when data is being generated nearly every minute, 24/7, Summit recommended leveraging Scribe Online to create mappings between Hubspot and Salesforce CRM so the data could be kept in sync. The Challenge Vanguard was using Dealer Accelerate, a platform that limited visibility to both historical and current inventory of vehicles and did not allow for mobile, on-the-go access. Because of the sheer volume of cars and trucks in the system, document and image management, as well as vehicle history tracking, was very difficult for Vanguard. There was no single source of data, and both operations and sales were spending valuable time trying to find information. The vehicle purchasing team was unable to leverage current and past information on vehicle offers and purchases, and lacked mobile access when out in the field. The sales team lacked the vehicle inventory information to properly anticipate and prepare for upcoming offers. The executive team was not able to forecast sales, and the management team spent hours each week manually gathering data for reporting on key company metrics.
