Frustrated with his inability to affect behavior change in the clinical setting, Dr. Sabgir invited his patients to go for a walk with him in a local park on a spring Saturday morning. To his surprise, over 100 people showed up, energized and ready to move. Since that first event in 2005, Walk with a Doc has grown as a grassroots effort, with a model based on sustainability and simplicity. A doctor gives a brief presentation on a health topic and then leads participants on a walk at their own pace. Healthy snacks, coffee and blood pressure checks are an optional part of a Walk with a Doc event. The Challenge CHN's over 150 employees needed access to internal resources and a way to open tickets for the IT department, but full Salesforce licenses were not needed or in the budget. The Solution A Salesforce Community with Knowledge was implemented as well as case management and an organization events calendar. Authenticated users from CHN can log into the secured community and view and download documents related to HR, benefits and organization processes using Salesforce Knowledge. Documents were organized using Topics. Employees may nominate their fellow employees for awards and view an internal calendar with birthdays, anniversaries and other important events. ​ Employees may also open cases on a variety of IT topics, which are then routed to the appropriate staff. The Challenge Northwoods had been using Microsoft Dynamics CRM for a number of years, and despite employing a couple of different consulting groups to optimize the solution, was suffering from adoption issues and sales and service teams that were frustrated with the Dynamics solution and were looking for a fresh start in Salesforce. Client had well established processes in Dynamics and was using it daily to support sales and service efforts. A smooth transition with no downtime to a new solution was a must with no loss of features from the legacy solution to the new solution. In addition, client wished to re-work their pricing model to simplify it and eliminate the need for pricing to be calculated outside of the CRM. The sales team wanted to be able to generate client-ready sales documents from the solution. The client's service team wanted to have easy to use forms both for internal and external users to create Cases using a wizard-like interface. They required a client portal for clients to log their own cases. Service team desired a highly sophisticated case management solution to allow them to successfully assign, work and escalate the many cases they received daily while tracking their SLA performance and client assets.     Totally Promotional Totally Promotional Salesforce Marketing & Sales Cloud Implementation ​ About the Client Totally Promotional is a veteran in the promotional products industry. Their Coldwater, Ohio-based production plant has been customizing promotional products for individuals, schools, companies, organizations, universities, and government agencies for more than 25 years. The Challenge Totally Promotional had been using Salesforce for many years; however, their instance and associated installed apps were out of date and they were not able to move to the Salesforce Lightning interface due to significant technical debt. They also wished to implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud to accurately segment and market to their target prospects and customers. Totally Promotional's online storefront was experiencing frequent shopping cart abandonment, as well as lacking in a proper email sign-up list, to capture customer information. The Management and Executive teams had very little visibility into their system and its performance and needed new reports and dashboards. The Solution Salesforce Marketing Cloud was connected to Sales Cloud, and fields were mapped from Accounts, Leads and Contacts based on the client’s specifications. Data extensions were created in Marketing Cloud to house prospects for the purposes of utilizing the Journey Builder to create comprehensive engagement plans to deliver the right message at the right time, moving prospects and clients through the sales funnel. A specific journey was created to combat shopping cart abandonment. Summit Technologies created 10 different reports and charts that allow the Totally Promotional Marketing staff to visualize their funnels by criteria such as gender, region, and product category. After careful analysis and planning, the Summit Technologies team remediated technical debt by updating API versions of APEX code, created and updated test classes, fixed hard coded record ID’s, addressed outdated URL hacks, uninstalled unused apps, deleted unused objects and fields, and performed other necessary actions to facilitate the move to Lightning. Work was done in a sandbox environment with extensive regression testing to minimize likelihood of a disruption to the business. To make things more challenging, UC’s Hubspot licenses were set to expire on February 1, 2020, giving the team less than 3 months to recreate hundreds of email templates and journeys, move millions of rows of data and train their team of 30+ recruiters on the new system.     AmeriWater AmeriWater Custom Product Configurator in Salesforce AmeriWater Custom Product Configurator in Salesforce About the Client AmeriWater is a long-established industry leader in the design, manufacture, installation and supply of water purification systems and services for dialysis, industrial and healthcare applications. They offer a broad portfolio of high quality, flexible and trusted water purification products, all of which are designed with the end user in mind. The Challenge AmeriWater sells complex water treatment systems to dialysis centers through a network of distributors. Each system is a combination of 10 or more products that must be selected based on a number of different factors and formula calculations. When scoping for a sale for a new water purification system distributors need to fill out a 17-page document. This document is very time consuming to complete as it requires many formulas, inputs, and workflows that has to be completed by Sales reps and introduces the possibility for errors. The inputs and calculations are the attributes used to select the appropriate components of the system. After emailing the completed form to AmeriWater, an AmeriWater sales manager needs to carefully review it as errors are costly. and easy to make The entire process is labor intensive and reliant on a few key individuals at AmeriWater. The Solution Summit Technologies built a web form using FormAssembly to gather the input data which is then processed using a Salesforce Flow to perform the needed calculations and select products that matched the input parameters. Selected products are staged on the quote record for an AmeriWater rep to validate. Once validated, with a button click the products are added as Quote Line Items. Quote templates were created to easily generate the customer-facing documents with editable fields for terms and installation instructions. AmeriWater products were loaded into Salesforce and the Product object was customized with custom fields to capture the product attributes required for the automated selection process. Result for Our Client AmerWater now had a more efficient process to select the required products and generate sales documents. Errors by the distributors will decrease immensely. What was a long process for the AmeriWater team and their distributors, is automated in Salesforce which allows AmeriWater to more quickly respond to distributor opportunities.
