Mike Leibrand, founder and managing partner of Summit Technologies has achieved the rare and prestigious Salesforce Certified Application Architect credential on July 20 of 2018. At the time of the award, there are fewer than twelve other Application Architects in the state of Ohio and fewer than 720 nationwide.

To be awarded the credential, an individual must a demonstrate a deep understanding of native Salesforce features and functionality, as well as the ability to model a role hierarchy, data model, and appropriate sharing mechanisms. This is done by passing four separate Salesforce certifications for Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, Sharing & Visibility Designer and Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer. Once these certifications were achieved, Salesforce bestowed the title and certification of Application Architect on Mike.

Mike began his journey to Salesforce Application Architect in June of 2016 when he earned his first certification for Platform App Builder. The other three certifications toward this achievement were all achieved in 2018.

"I am very excited to possess not just the certification but also the knowledge I gained earning it," says Leibrand. "The months of study and work in the field have helped me not only learn the Salesforce platform in much greater depth, but also enterprise security, data governance and best practices that will enable me to design solutions for organizations of any size. Our clients will be the ultimate beneficiaries of the knowledge gained through the process of earning this certification."

In addition to Salesforce Certified Application Architect and the prerequisite certifications, Mike also has Salesforce certifications for Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant and Community Cloud Consultant, for a total of nine Salesforce certifications.
